Cabling - a compendium

The most important information about wiring in the Deimic Smart Home

  • if we want to connect one 230V light circuit from the switchgear, we run the 3x1.5mm2 wire directly to the circuit;
  • in a situation where we have two 230V lighting circuits in the room, we can run a 4x1.5mm2 cable to the first circuit, and then connect the circuits with a 3x1.5mm2 cable using a connector block;
  • we can do the same when there are three 230V lighting circuits in the room. Run a 5x1.5mm2 wire to the first circuit, and then connect the circuits with a 3x1.5mm2 wire using a connector block;
  • if we connect 230V lighting circuits with high power consumption (over 1kW) to the system, the wiring should be made directly from the electrical switchboard with the cable specified in the lamp documentation; in this case, we do not connect several lighting circuits on one wire;
  • to the circuits located in the garden we run earth cables 3x1.5mm2 directly from the electrical switchboard or from the garden switchboard;
  • all LED lighting circuits must be run directly from the electrical switchboard with a 4x2.5mm2 cable. We use 4x2.5mm2 cable for two reasons:
  • on such a cable we can connect an RGB led strip;
  • in the case of very long and strong LED strips, we power it from both sides using one pair of wires for each end of the LED strip
  • power supplies for LED lighting will be located in the electrical switchboar
  • We DO NOT supply 230V power to the switches, only the UTP 5e cable
  • to each switch, directly from the electrical switchboard, we connect the UTP 5e cable (100% copper, under no circumstances should you use copper-plated steel wires - if they are located, they will have to be replaced with copper wires);
  • on one cable we can connect up to 6 buttons;
  • if a given switch will measure the temperature on one UTP 5e cable, we can connect up to 4 buttons;
  • in the case of switches in the showroom, it is recommended to lay two UTP 5e cables;
  • in exceptional situations, when we have a group of switches (where we plan a maximum of two buttons in each), we can lead the cable directly from the electrical switchboard to the first switch, and then via the UTP 5e bridge to the next one, in this way we connect up to 3 switches;
  • if the plumber has provided a DHW pump in the system, a 3x1.5mm2 cable should be led to it directly from the electrical switchboard;
  • if the plumber has provided for the circulating pump in the system, which is to be controlled by the DEIMIC system, a 3x1.5mm2 cable should be led to it directly from the electrical switchboard;
  • garden switchboard is used to connect garden lighting, watering and other elements placed in the garden that require power; it is an ideal solution due to the possibility of connecting additional garden elements without interfering with the domestic installation;
  • The garden switchboard should be placed on the outer wall of the house in the facade or in the garden so that it can
  • from it it is easy to lead cables for garden lighting and watering;
  •  5x4mm2 cable and four UTP 5e cables, if the switchboard
  • OKABLOWANIE ROLET OKIENNYCH, DACHOWYCH, MARKIZ i ŻALUZJI ELEWACYJNYCH   do każdej rolety należy doprowadzić bezpośrednio z rozdzielni przewód 4x1.5mm2  i połączyć go z przewodem od rolety zachowując kolorystykę żył;
  • rolet nie można ze sobą łączyć, każda musi schodzić bezpośrednio do rozdzielni elektrycznej;
  • w przypadku gdy rolety będą zamontowane w późniejszym etapie przewody do rolet należy wyprowadzić nad nadproże okna;
  • We DO NOT supply 230V power to motion sensors, only UTP 5e cable
  • to each sensor directly from the electrical switchboard we connect the UTP 5e cable (100% copper, under no circumstances should you use copper-plated steel wires - if they are located, they will have to be replaced with copper wires);
  • in exceptional situations, when we have motion sensors that control the lighting placed next to each other, we can run the cable directly from the electrical switchboard to the first switch, and then via the UTP 5e bridge to the next one. In this way, we connect up to 3 motion sensors;
  • WE DO NOT CONNECT 230V power to rain sensors, only UTP 5e cable
  • connect the UTP 5e cable to the sensor directly from the electrical switchboard (100% copper, under no circumstances should you use copper-plated steel cables - if they are located, they will have to be replaced with copper cables!);
  • the cable to the rain sensor must be led out so that it is possible to expose the sensor directly to rain, and at the same time, so that you do not have to go to the roof for its installation (we do not place it on the roof, the chimney only at a maximum height of 3 m so that it can be mount from a ladder);
  • we DO NOT supply 230V power to the smoke / fire detectors, only the UTP 5e cable
  • to each sensor directly from the electrical switchboard we connect the UTP 5e cable (100% copper, under no circumstances should you use copper-plated steel wires - if they are located, they will have to be replaced with copper wires!);
  • in exceptional situations, when we have sensors placed next to each other, we can run the cable directly from the electrical switchboard to the first switch, and then via the UTP 5e bridge to the next one. We connect up to 3 sensors in this way;
  • WE DO NOT CONNECT 230V power to rain sensors, only UTP 5e cable
  • to each sensor directly from the electrical switchboard we connect the UTP 5e cable (100% copper, under no circumstances should you use copper-plated steel wires - if they are located, they will have to be replaced with copper wires!);
  • in exceptional situations, when we have sensors placed next to each other, we can run the cable directly from the switchboard to the first switch, and then via the UTP 5e bridge to the next one; in this way, we connect up to 3 sensors;
  • temperature sensors are usually placed in switches;
  • if the investor wants to place the temperature sensor in a different place, lead the UTP 5e cable to this place and place the fi60 box there;
  • two wires 4x1.5mm2 should be led directly from the electrical switchboard to each central heating distribution box;
  • if there are two CH distribution boxes next to each other, two cables 4x1.5mm2 should be led directly from the electrical switchboard to each of them;
  • if a mixer pump or a circulation pump is installed in the central heating manifolds, the 3x1.5mm2 cable should be additionally connected to it (directly from the electrical switchboard)
  • the UTP 5e cable (100% copper, under no circumstances should you use copper-coated steel cables - if they are installed, they will have to be replaced with copper cables);
  • connect the UTP 5e cable (100% copper) directly from the electrical switchboard to the LAN computer network cabinet (place where the router is installed) (100% copper, under no circumstances should you use copper-plated steel cables - if they are located, they will have to be replaced with copper cables);
  • two gel-coated UTP 5e cables (100% copper, under no circumstances can you use copper-coated steel cables - if they are located, they will have to be replaced with copper cables);
  • two UTP 5e wires (100% copper, under no circumstances should you use copper-plated steel wires - if they are located, they will have to be replaced with copper wires);
  • if the plumber has provided a water cut-off valve in the system, which is to be controlled from the DEIMIC system, a 4x1.5mm2 cable should be led to it directly from the electrical switchboard;
  • all circuits of the controlled sockets must be run directly from the electrical switchboard with a 4x2.5mm2 cable;
  • if the investor does not know which sockets are to be controlled, the sockets in each room can be wired with a 4x2.5mm2 cable instead of 3x2.5mm2; this will allow us to have a constant voltage of 230V on one wire, and the voltage on the other wire from the system;
